Biography

Sáli Róza

 

Born in Mezőberény, Hungary,1947.  I studied drawing fundamentals from 1961 to 1965 at the Jozsef Mokos School of Art in Békéscsaba.

In 1969 I graduated from the Gyula Juhász Teachers Training College in Szeged with a double major in drawing and mathematics, having studied under Ernő Ficher and Mihály Cs. Pataj.

Past employment includes full-time graphic work for several commercial firms, as well as free-lance illustration for fiction, children’s books, magazines and newspapers.

Since 1991 my paintings and drawings have been exhibited regularly in Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Serbia, etc.

From 1991 to 1994 I received training in fine art restoration under Henriette Hoffmann.

Since 2002, I have received frequent invitations to participate in Hungarian and international art colonies.
